Default Character Switch - Without Logging Off

Generally this is rather self-explanatory, I know for myself and others it can be annoying to log off and log back in just to change characters, where you can miss important chats, annoy people trying to reach you, and generally waste time. You'd still have the obvious time delay of loading the current area you're in on your other character, but that's not going to go away

My suggestion, just add a command like /switch or add a prompt from the menu to bring you to a quick character switch screen.

F12 - enter - double click

takes all of like 20 seconds. and most of that goes into loading that would have to happen anyway.

/notsigend

The official reason for this, is if, say you leave the computer to go to the bathroom, somebody can't walk up and delete/move stuff from ALL of your characters.

Just add this to your GW icon on Your desktop.
-password=yourpasswordhere
So it should say :
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -password=yourpasswordhere

If you installed it in that folder and you have an autoswitch feature that your asking for without them having to modify anything.Just click the tab of remember me and you wont have to type name or pass anymore.

If you need to log in into a diff account you let the game log you in and then just press esc till you get to the log in screen.

They have already stated that they will not be doing this due to security reasons. FYI, this is suggested on a weekly basis, annoying yes, but you should read the stickies... I mean really.

Um you did that wong... It's actually:

"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -email "youremail" -password "yourpassword"

Just copy that into your shortcut and sub in your email and password in the quotations.

The -email switch was removed from GW several months ago. It doesnt work any more.

Please use the search button or at least read the Index of Ideas. We do not need hundreds of repeat threads. As this has been suggested way too many times, I'll be closing this.
